HOW WE MET
GROOM: I met Itoro in January of 2009, during the time I spent in Calabar while I was doing my National Youth Service. We were living in the same compound and we saw regularly but never really talked or interacted much. That changed one day when I was driving to work. I was running late that day and Itoro was running late to class too. I gave her a ride and she accepted, the rest is history.
She means the world to me. I do not know what I would do if I was ever to lose her. Besides my mother, she is the only woman I have truly loved. I know how lucky I am to have her and I thank God for keeping her for me. In three words, she is Classy, Principled and prayerful.
She is always worrying about one thing or the other. And when she worries it is contagious. By that I mean that you must also join her in the worrying. Besides that, she is the perfect wife.(he gave us a reason to laugh, women worry always, don’t you think so?)
BRIDE: The proposal was not like the ordinary proposal,we went for dinner in Stamford hotel Abuja, in the course of the dinner, he brought out a small book almost like a diary with a Calender and asked me to pick the wedding date, don’t forget this was the 2nd week of July 2014. I just kept laughing and he said ‘I am serious, give me a date now and here and I will be yours forever’, I couldn’t live without this tall guy with the baritone voice forever. And so I picked the 19th and 20th of December, that was our wedding day. He is a very loving and romantic man, he eats like a king and I finish the food always ‘laughs’. He loves us eating together always. (and she smiles even broader).
