When I was in high school, an alumnus of the school came with some people and talked to us on the topic ‘SEX AND THE GIRL’. The message was implanted subconsciously in me, it affected everything I did, it affecting my dealings with boys and most especially has made me a complete woman 14 years after. Sometimes, I ask myself how would my life have been? would rape? unwanted pregnancy? sexually transmitted diseases? low self-esteem? the list is endless, be in my ‘box’ today? I was opportuned to receive a live changing message that groomed me into a better woman. Now, its my turn, I reach out to girls everywhere. You should do it.
I remember when I was a ‘girl’, I was quick to dismiss all talk shows, they were boring to me. I am sure you felt and feel the same way. Before the grand day, I said to myself, ‘you better come up with ideas to spice this topic otherwise you will meet a cold war’. Sidra was of the opinion we start the day with the cutting of a symbolic banana cake, of course, she made the cake. It worked!
